SDS took on Rapport3 in 2017, initially with our project costing module, and more recently our HR module. SDS Business Services Director, Karen Field explained that as they grew they needed more detailed project management information on their ongoing projects.

When asked why they initially chose Rapport3, Karen their spokesperson explained:

“Before Rapport3 our projects and invoicing used to be tracked in spread sheets gradually becoming more detailed and built up over time. However, as the business grew, we realised we needed more information for our project management. We looked around the market and had a look at various options, Rapport3 had a lot of the things we needed, and the information we needed was in a familiar format which was useful to us.”

Rapport3 has has been configured to manage all aspects of a project through one intuitive and efficient platform, regardless of task complexity or the number of engineers involved. As their spokesperson explained, “Before we moved to rapport3, our information was disjointed, and we had a flat view of information. Now, with rapport3 information is all centralised and we can drill down into the information, so costs billing and project success can be seen in real time.”

SDS needed a solution that would speed up their internal processes, and provide their team with a daily overview of what was going on with the projects, ensuring everyone could easily access information at the same time. "Rapport3 gave us visibility of our projects that we needed, as well as bids, billing information and time recordings. With rapport3 there isn't a massive learning curve, so many are so complex to use, and rapport isn't.. It is intuitive as well, which makes a huge difference.”

She explained that Rpport3's reporting functionality has helped them manage their projects better. “Having a handle on our reporting now means we can ensure our team are on track against the targets we have set for them. With Rapport3 our team can monitor projects more closely and can see everything as it is in one place, giving them more control over their projects.”

“Even from the beginning when we did the integration and set up, it was all very thorough, nothing was left to chance about how our data would be transferred. We had very few problems and those we did were not major and were resolved quickly. The whole process has been seamless, they had thought of everything ahead of time. They are really quick to react to things and they get things done as quickly as possible. Danielle and Liam are always there when we need them - they are both really friendly and always there to chat. Having the dedicated support team available really helps. We have been talking to Danielle for over 4 years so she knows how our business works and how we need Rapport3 to work for us, so she helps us to keep it specific to our business needs.”
